This series meets Thursday (weekly) from 8-9AM MT (with optional 9-9:30AM Q&A to follow).
This free, 16-week series is designed to advance improvements in COVID-19 preparedness, safety and infection control in Colorado nursing homes. Session topics include PPE best practices, infection control practices, minimizing spread, clinical management of asymptomatic and mild cases of COVID-19 and managing social isolation. Participants will have access to experts in infection control, patient safety, quality improvement and nursing home operations along with a library of implementation resources.
This series is supported by the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and is offered in collaboration with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). ECHO Colorado is participating in the Network as an official Training Center for nursing homes.
Nursing homes eligible to receive funding from the Provider Relief Fund (PRF) that actively participate in the 16-week Network training can receive up to $6,000 in compensation for participating (2-4 team members per site must attend 13 of 16 sessions).
CME: This series, with the first of 16 sessions beginning on November 12, 2020, will be reviewed and acceptable for up to 6.0 credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity (1.0 credit per session).
