Primary Care Voice: Advocacy & Innovation Leveraged

This series meets Fridays (weekly) from 7:00 am to 8:00 am MT.

5/26/2020

The Primary Care Voice: Advocacy & Innovation Leveraged (PREVAIL) series brings together the shared stories and experiences of providers to inform policy and take action to mitigate the impact of COVID on patients and Primary Care.

Each session in this weekly series will have a focused topic that highlights how the COVID pandemic has changed Primary Care and the healthcare landscape. After an introduction to the topic, the session will center around a few highlighted stories from community providers, augmented by an interactive discussion with participants. Providers will have the opportunity to submit real world data and stories around what is happening to their patients and practices. These stories (experiences) will be captured, and the data analyzed to develop themes and trends. Through collaborations with policy experts and state partners, the themes and trends that arise can be used to develop policy levers to effect positive change. These policy levers are then fed back into the community of participants for continued engagement and action.

Topics will include Telehealth, Payment Reform, practice management, addressing the social needs of patients, and more. Future topics will continue to evolve based on what is needed to ensure the survival of primary care practices, and realign primary care as foundational to the healthcare system.
